Chamber Services

The Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce supports the business communities of Kincardine, Tiverton and surrounding region. It is a membership-driven organization in which businesses and professional people work together for the common good of our business community, providing government advocacy for its members and promoting economic prosperity in the Municipality of Kincardine and surrounding areas.

 Business owners can join the Chamber of Commerce to access networking, business support, special events, promotions and member discount programs.

Operation of the Chamber

A Chamber of Commerce is financed and operated by the business, industrial and professional people of our community, who are helping themselves indirectly by working for the growth and prosperity of the area.

The members of the Chamber of Commerce govern their organization in accordance with a set of by-laws under which an election of directors is held annually. The people who comprise the Board of Directors have assumed that responsibility by a vote of the entire membership. They represent a cross-section of community interests.

Other than the Chamber staff, the Board of Directors are not paid for their services to the Chamber of Commerce. Indeed, the Board members pay the same fees which they ask their members to pay!

Mission Statement

A Chamber of Commerce is formed by a group of forward looking citizens, who have banded themselves together to promote the welfare of a community to a greater extent than could be done individually. It is an organization which tries to fill the gap between what we are, and what we would like to be.

The Chamber of Commerce helps to secure new industry and new business and assists in the development of local enterprise, and the promotion of your business, directly or indirectly.

The Chamber of Commerce is actively seeking new development, new business and new industry. No area can progress without competent leadership and co-ordination of effort.
